Thematic Household Survey on Subdivided Units in Hong Kong in 2014

The survey objective is to estimate the number of SDUs in the territory and to gather information on the profile of the tenants living therein in order to provide objective information to facilitate its deliberations on the long term housing demand of Hong Kong. The Survey covered a stratified random sample of 2 252 target buildings, with the stratification factors being building age, rateable value and spatial characteristics. All quarters in those randomly selected buildings were visited. Among the 2 252 sampled buildings, a total of 3 774 quarters were identified with 13 185 SDU. Of which, 5 075 face-to-face interviews were conducted, representing a response rate of 60.5%.
